On Sunday October 8th we were delighted to welcome the Bourne Consort to Smeeth Church. There was a good-sized audience who were wonderfully entertained by this versatile vocal group as they sang a wide range of music from madrigals to the twentieth century. A collection at the end of the concert raised a very generous sum for the church and we are grateful to the members of the Bourne Consort and to all those who attended.
This was the autumn event in our Four Seasons of Music at St Mary’s Smeeth.
The Winter performance is on Sunday December 3rd at 7pm when we shall welcome back Lees Court Music who will give a concert of Music for Advent Sunday. We look forward to seeing you then.

To help ensure we do take away your papers, please consider;
- Placing them in a prominent place so that they are visible. (Some of our helpers do not live in the village and so may not know all of our local roads).
- Placing the papers at the roadside so that we definitely can’t miss them, even better to place them with someone else’s papers to make a bigger pile to see.
- If the pavements are icy or you have difficulty getting the papers out please let me know (01303 812251) and I can ensure we look closely at your house or even knock on the door.
- Please ensure the papers are out by 09:00 hrs on collection days (always the second Saturday of every month)
